Since 1956, when N. Sathappan acquired a 1,000-acre plantation from the Rajah of Chettinad, our coffee journey has been rooted in Coorg.

Today, Levista brings that estate-to-cup experience to homes across India, with instant and filter coffee blends made for different tastes and ways of enjoying coffee.

Our Coorg Origin

Our coffee journey begins at the SLN Coffee plantation in Kudlur, Kushalnagar, Coorg, Karnataka, in one of India’s most renowned coffee-growing regions.

Set in the Western Ghats, our Coorg coffee is shaped by the region’s altitude, rainfall and soil. Our estate grows both Arabica and Robusta, with Arabica cultivated in the higher sections and Robusta in the lower areas.

Our own estate gives Levista a direct connection to coffee from the point it is grown. Ripe cherries are hand-picked and taken to our curing works, where they are processed, dried, hulled and graded.

The Kudlur estate has been in continuous operation since 1956, giving us decades of experience rooted in the coffee capital of India.

1956

N. Sathappan acquires a 1,000-acre plantation from the Rajah of Chettinad in Coorg, establishing the foundation of SLN Coffee.

1997

SLN commissions its curing works with a capacity exceeding 30,000 metric tonnes annually.

2008

SLN enters instant coffee production with an initial capacity of 4,500 metric tonnes.

2012

Instant coffee production capacity expands to 9,000 metric tonnes.

2017
