Apart from the regular flavours of coffee that you consume on a regular basis, Levista coffee powder can be used to make some exotic coffee varieties. Some of these are discussed below.

Let’s take a look at them below.

1.Flat White

A flat white is a blend of micro-foamed milk poured over a single or double shot of espresso.

Ingredients

  • 18g ground espresso or one espresso pod
  • 100ml milk

You will also need

the right cup, 150-200ml capacity

Instructions

  1. Make around 35ml espresso using your coffee machine and pour it into the base of your cup.
  2. Steam the milk with the steamer attachment so that it has around 1-2cm of foam on top. Hold the jug so that the spout is about 3-4cm above the cup, and pour the milk in steadily.
  3. As the volume within the cup increases, bring the jug as close to the surface of the drink as possible whilst aiming to pour into the centre.
  4. Once the milk jug is almost touching the surface of the coffee, tilt the jug to speed up the rate of pouring.
  5. As you accelerate, the milk will hit the back of the cup and start naturally folding in on itself to create a pattern on the top.

2. Latte

A latte or caffè latte is a milk coffee that is made up of one or two shots of espresso, steamed milk, and a final, thin layer of frothed milk on top.

Ingredients

  • 18g ground espresso or one espresso pod
  • 250ml milk

You will also need

large cup, 300-350ml capacity

Instructions

  1. Make around 35ml espresso using your coffee machine and pour it into the base of your cup.
  2. Steam the milk with the steamer attachment so that it has around 2-3cm of foam on top. Hold the jug, so the spout is about 3-4cm above the cup, and pour the milk in steadily. As the volume within the cup increases, bring the jug as close to the drink's surface as possible whilst aiming to pour into the centre. Once the milk jug is almost touching the surface of the coffee, tilt it to speed up the rate of pouring. As you accelerate, the milk will hit the back of the cup and start naturally folding in on itself to create a pattern on the top.

3. Turkish coffee

Turkish coffee is made of very finely ground coffee beans and is also different from other types of coffee in that it is brewed by boiling in traditional copper pots called a cezve.

Ingredients

  • 150ml of cold water
  • Two tablespoons extra finely-ground Levista coffee
  • 1 to 3 teaspoons sugar, optional

Instructions

  1. Pour the water into the cezve. Add the coffee and sugar if using. Mix well to dissolve the coffee and sugar. Do not stir after this point.
  2. Place the cezve on the stovetop over medium heat. After a few minutes, the coffee will rise and foam up.
  3. Just before it begins to boil, remove the cezve from the heat. Skim off the foam, adding a little to each serving cup. Return the cezve to the heat and let it slowly foam up again.
  4. Pour the coffee very slowly into the serving cups, so the foam rises to the top.
  5. Let the coffee settle for a few minutes, then serve.

Fun tip

Espresso cups and small teacups are good alternatives to Turkish coffee cups.

4. Iced caramel macchiato

Made with layers of creamy milk and two shots of espresso, then served over ice, Iced Macchiato is something that you can easily make at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla-flavoured syrup
  • ⅓ cup ice cubes
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 120 ml Levista coffee blend
  • 1 tablespoon caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Pour vanilla syrup into a drinking glass. Add ice cubes, then pour in the milk.
  2. Slowly pour in cold brew concentrate. Drizzle with caramel sauce.

5. Affogato

The affogato is a dessert made with two main ingredients: vanilla ice cream and espresso. Originally invented in Italy, the word "affogato" literally translates as "drowned" in English. This is fitting, as the affogato is no more than a scoop of ice cream "drowned" in espresso.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup vanilla ice cream or gelato
  • 1 shot espresso or 3 tablespoons strong brewed Levista coffee

Instructions

  1. Use an ice cream scoop or a cookie scoop to put a few small scoops of vanilla ice cream or gelato in a chilled glass, bowl, or mug.
  2. Pour a freshly brewed shot of espresso or strong brewed Levista coffee over and serve immediately.
  3. Garnish with nuts or shaved chocolate, if desired.

Fun tip

Cool the coffee first if you don't want your dessert to melt too quickly.

6. Frappe

  3. Blend on HIGH for 30 seconds or until smooth.
  4. Divide between 2 glasses and serve immediately.

7. Mocha Cola

A Mocha Cola is a drink that combines coffee, cola, and chocolate milk. It is usually poured over ice and topped with whipped cream.

How do you make good coffee at home?

Start your coffee brewing with a straightforward 1:15 ratio (one gram of coffee to every 15 grams of water). You wait four to six minutes before drinking after adding your water to the coffee grounds. But if it's too hot, turn the water temperature down and explore.

How do you warm milk for coffee?

A small pot should be filled with milk and set over low to medium heat. Warm milk should be quickly whisked with a balloon whisk, being cautious not to spill too much milk. You can also use a handheld frother that whisks as the milk warms up on the stove as an alternative.
